I had the best meat pie of my life the last night we were in London. It was at the Sir Alexander Fleming pub near Paddington Station.
The pie was called the Moo Pie, and I almost didn’t have it. I was swayed by the Heidi Pie, which contained goat cheese and sweet potato, but they were out, so the Moo Pie was my Plan B.
Every bite was savory and delicious. It paired very well with my Fuller’s London Pride. The crust was flaky, the meat was tender, and the sauce both inside and out was a thing of joy. I dream of a few meals, and this is one of them.
